Beginning Rigid Heddle Weaving - Saturday November 1 AND Saturday November 15, 12pm to 3pm

$160.00

Learn to weave a scarf using a rigid heddle loom in this beginner level class. No experience with weaving/knitting/crochet required! Students may bring their own rigid heddle loom or use one of the shop’s loaner looms for the class.

In the first session we will discuss rigid heddle loom basics, warp the loom, and begin weaving a basic scarf. Students can bring the loaner looms home to finish the weaving in between class sessions. In the second session we will remove the weaving from the loom, finish the fringe, weave in ends, and discuss blocking. Students should plan to attend both sessions.

Saturday November 1, 12pm to 3pm

Saturday November 15, 12pm to 3pm (may end early if students finished their weaving homework between classes!)

Course fee includes six hours of instruction over two sessions and yarn to weave a scarf (choose from wool or cotton/bamboo options). Students may also bring their own yarn for weaving if desired, students are encouraged to experiment with different weights and textures of yarn!

Cancellation policy: Full refund will be granted if shop is notified of cancellation at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the class time. A 50% refund will be granted if shop is notified of cancellation in the 72 hours prior to the class time. No refunds will be granted for no call/no show students.
